The Whale, Remembering
The Whale, Remembering
Do you remember
when we were swallowed
Up Wholly by the whale?
You tried to rescue me.
But I had no fear
Of my friend of giant scale
You jumped into the ocean to save me
Although you didn't know how to swim
I was one with the watery world
And swimming was my freedom
You Yelled my name, And
Jumped in the water
I saw you fall under the waves
I swam to you and pulled you up to the air
But we were swallowed down to this grave
Down the jaws of my watery friend
It could not be avoided
And in the chaos of this heavenly mess
OTHER plans were dashed and voided
His name is Love
His name is Memory
There is no denying
There's only Truth
Of Love, it seems
Though it feels as if we're dying
Down we went
Into the belly
Of the beast who had ingested
Us as part of the dinner juice
Of plankton where we rested
Angry with me, you said
"How could you let this happen?
Now both our gooses will be cooked
I answered not but laughin'
Laughing but Crying, I finally said
"I Didn't do this
Anymore than you did,
God is making all plans
Let's pray to know what she/he bids."
"Let's just make love before we die!"
This was all you answered.
(Me),Let's do this in our hearts and mind
With breathing Wisdom transferred
Love is what we'll focus on
As we are alive an breathing
As we become one with the whale
And heal memories that are seething
Exhaling in and out
In synchronicity
The whale's forcing us to ponder
Our authenticity
Who are you really?
And what do you want
The whale kept on asking
"I'll release you if you are willing to try
If you choose your own
Unmasking."
We were breathing breathing
While we were gaining
The strength of own origin
And suddenly shot up through
The spout
Flailing our torso and limbs
Gesticulating arms and legs
As we fell in different places
On safe dry land
We were whole and sound
Although we were separated
Goodbye we waved
As we cheered each other
To go on our own adventures
And we turned and faced
Our Destiny and our own soul's treasures
Love is a bond that isn't a bond
It will be there forever
We are free to choose what we will
And fulfill our own endeavors
